How to Download and install Street Names

Make navigating even easier, rather than just being told to “turn left in 100 metres”, with Street Names you are told “turn left in 100 metres into Macquarie Street”. Street Names are a feature generally only seen on the expensive Sat Navs such as Nav Man, Garmin, or Tom Tom. Compass provides them free.
The complete list of Australian street names is a large file of about 500MB in size. This file can be downloaded to your PC then transferred to your mobile handset.
We have put together a detailed step-by-step guide of how to download and install the Street Names, for Nokia, Samsung and Blackberry handset Compass subscribers.
If you have any problems installing the Street Names check the FAQs or contact us.
On your Nokia or Samsung handset
- Make sure Vodafone Compass is already installed on your handset.
- Check that you have at least 500 MB of free space on your SD memory card

- On the handset, in Menu open Tools and then Memory

- Your handset should still be connected to your PC and in Mass Storage Mode/Data Transfer Mode. If not please refer to those steps above.
